Roasted Poblano Salsa

Poblanos are a delicious alternative for a milder salsa. All you do for this salsa is roast the veggies, then blend them together. This leads to a simple, quick and tasty condiment for any Mexican cuisine.

Ingredients

  • 1 large poblano

  • 1 jalapeno

  • 1 tbs water

  • 1/4 red onion

  • 1 clove garlic

  • 1/8 cup chopped cilantro

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 1/4 tsp cumin

  • juice from 1/2 a lemon

Directions

  • Roast the poblano, jalapeno, onion, and garlic until they start to char and blister. About 5 minutes per side.
  • Once roasted, use a spoon or table knife to scrape the skin off the poblano.
  • Blend everything together in a blender until you get a consistency that you enjoy.
